Provider Services and Experience
My experience involves working with children and families needing support in their emotional and behavioral health for over 14 years. If you are finding yourself constantly struggling with your child’s behaviors or don’t find parenting as enjoyable as you would like, it may be time to seek help. Parenting can be difficult, but you don’t have to do it alone. I aim to provide a space that promotes empowerment and healing for personal development while one uses their current strengths. Whether you need assistance in addressing complex trauma or managing daily stresses, therapy is the place to do this.
My specialty involves working with people who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, ADHD, behavior problems, and parenting concerns. My preferred therapeutic models include person-centered approaches while using evidence-based techniques to promote desired outcomes through one’s journey of exploring their personal goals and values.
I speak fluent Spanish and have worked with Latino/a families who have experienced domestic violence. I have worked closely with schools and have attended IEP meetings to support children in academic settings. I enjoy collaborating with community agencies and resources to provide individuals with additional support.

"Trauma Informed" training and experience

I utilize client-centered, strength-based approaches while promoting a safe, therapeutic environment. I am aware of survival mechanisms that have served purposes to manage difficulties and traumatic events may now interfere with one’s ability to connect with themselves and/or others, long-term goals, and overall wellbeing. Addressing past experiences and current outcomes of trauma is part of the healing process.

"Trauma Trained" training and experience

I have completed TF-CBT training and will complete the required consultation in December 2019. I have completed Weekend I of EMDR and will complete Weekend II of this training in November 2019.
